Here in Oslo! Took this great old train from Flåm to Myrdal and that in itself was an experience. We went up in elevation and saw the Flåm Valley although this isn’t the Valley. And this huge waterfall. They actually stopped the train and let people get out to take photos! Then I changed trains and took the Bergen-Oslo line It felt like the Himalayas. The landscape was pretty barren that high up This ‘town’ is called Finse and you can only get there by railroad Another small town As we kept traveling east the towns became more populated. That was my train! Made to Oslo! It’s a little warmer here too. Only got a glance at the city so far. It’s lively and beautiful.
Fjord Safari with goat cheese tasting👍 What we looked like. Special suits were worn Incase we accidentally fell overboard. The goggles, hat and gloves were all necessary to stay warm. The story is that an American fell in love with this area, met a Norwegian woman and together bought this house on the top. They renovated it and rent out part of the house; you have to hike up which takes about 40 minutes and there’s no electricity and I’m not sure what else. It’s fully booked all summer. This is the boat house because there are no roads to get there. This was our companion boat. This was where we stopped for cheese tasting. Kayaking Since Fjords are saltwater and this connects to the sea, there are seals and whales in these Fjords. I don’t know if you can see them but those white specks are goats. Beauty abounds
Stegastein Point with views of the Aurlandsfjorden Aerial view of the location of Flåm in relation to Bergen We came here via the Sognefjorden Fretheim Hotel The view point of Stegastein via minibus is a must.
